Our purpose â to help people live their best lives â goes well beyond the respiratory and sleep care we provide to our clients. Through our Careica Gives initiative, our staff give back to their community through volunteering and by nominating deserving not-for-profit organizations to be considered for a donation from our corporate giving fund.
This year, our staff nominated 59 deserving charities for a donation from the Careica Gives fund. The staff-run corporate giving committee had the difficult task of evaluating the nominations and picking this yearâs winners. After carefully reviewing the submissions, the committee selected a winner from each of the four provinces in which we operate. The $15,000 Careica Gives fund was split evenly and each winner received a donation of $3,750.
We are pleased to announce our four very deserving winners for 2022. The winners are as follows:
Manitoba – Canadian Red Cross Ukraine Humanitarian Crisis Appeal
To help those in need and support them in strengthening their resilience.
Saskatchewan – Alzheimer Society of Saskatchewan
To support their mission to empower all people to live well with dementia while funding research into prevention, cures, and quality of life.
Alberta – Ronald McDonald House Charities Alberta
To support their mission to provide programming and accommodation to alleviate the emotional, financial, and physical burdens faced by families with sick or injured children.
British Columbia – Cystic Fibrosis Canada (BC/Yukon)
To support their mission to end cystic fibrosis by funding targeted world-class research, supporting and advocating for high-quality individualized care and raising and allocating funds for these purposes.
