Volunteerism and corporate giving are an important part of our culture at Careica Health. Through our Careica Gives initiative, our staff are encouraged to volunteer at not-for-profit organizations in need and to nominate an organization to receive a donation from our corporate giving fund.
While it is clear the pandemic has impacted all our lives, it has had a significant impact on the most vulnerable people in our community. Last year, we donated $20,000 to food banks in our communities across western Canada. We are pleased to announce this will continue this year, with another $20,000 donation to food banks in the cities we operate in.
In total, our $20,000 Careica Gives fund will be donated to the following 15 food banks. We appreciate everything they are doing to support the most vulnerable throughout the COVID-19 pandemic.
