At Careica Health, caring runs deep. Caring for our clients and the community has been the cornerstone of RANA, Provincial Sleep Group, and Provincial Home Oxygen for over 30 years. In fact, itās this shared commitment to caring that helped guide our merger and shape our new brand, Careica Health.
We pride ourselves in giving back to the community. For years, all three organizations have been giving back by routinely donating to not-for-profits in the community. Last year, RANA took this a step further by introducing a new corporate giving program, RANA Cares. The program was a huge success, with staff volunteering over 630 hours and RANA donating a combined $20,000 to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Society of Calgary, Canadian Mental Health Association, and Main Street Project. We are pleased to reintroduce our corporate giving program under our new name, Careica Gives!
WHAT IS CAREICA GIVES?
Careica Gives is a corporate giving initiative that is driven entirely by Careica Health employees. Its mission is twofold: to determine which not-for-profits are to receive corporate donations, and to celebrate and promote volunteerism across all Careica staff. Staff are encouraged to volunteer their time to not-for-profits in need, as well as nominate organizations to receive corporate donations. The program is guided by a committee of staff members who review all not-for-profit nominations received and determine how donations are to be distributed.
Volunteerism
The goal of the Careica Gives initiative is for all Careica staff to be active volunteers within the communities they live and work in. While participation is voluntary, all staff are encouraged to volunteer with any organization(s) of their choosing. Beginning April 1, 2020, an organization-wide volunteer hours goal will be set for the fiscal year. If that goal is met, additional funds will be added to the corporate giving fund for donation.
Corporate Donations
Careica has committed a minimum of $10,000 in corporate donations for the first year of the Careica Gives program. If staff meet our volunteer hours goal (TBD), Careica will donate up to an additional $10,000. All donation recipients will be nominated by Careica staff and selected by the Careica Gives staff committee.
