We sleep better knowing you’re sleeping and breathing better.
Frequently asked questions
Yes. A referral from a doctor, dentist or other healthcare professional is required to participate in a sleep study, and Careica can help clients get one if they don’t already have it.
We accept all major insurance plans, including Green Shield Canada, Canada Life, Sunlife, Manulife, Blue Cross, Empire Life, and more. We can also submit your insurance claim directly, if your provider allows it.
Most insurance plans don’t cover the cost of the sleep study itself, though many cover some or all of the costs of sleep apnea treatment afterward. Clients should check with their provider to confirm their level of coverage. Low-income clients may qualify for Careica’s financial assistance program (call 1-877-250-5622 for details).
A PFT is recommended if you take inhaled medications, are a current or former smoker, have a chronic cough, or feel short of breath. A referral is required for PFT and ABG testing; speak to your family doctor or call 403-774-5741 for more information.
Parking is free in the large on-site plaza surface lot. The location is also very transit-friendly, right beside the Dalhousie LRT and its Park & Ride; note that the plaza lot is separate from the transit park-and-ride, so drivers should use the plaza lot rather than the LRT lot.
