Frequently asked questions

Yes. A referral from a doctor, dentist or other healthcare professional is required to participate in a sleep study, and Careica can help clients get one if they don’t already have it.

CPAP costs vary depending on the type of machine and style of mask used. Most extended healthcare insurance providers cover a percentage of the cost, and if a client’s plan allows it, Careica will contact the provider directly to get coverage details. Careica also offers affordable payment options and financial assistance for clients without extended healthcare insurance.

Most insurance plans don’t cover the cost of the sleep study itself, though many cover some or all of the costs of sleep apnea treatment afterward. Clients should check with their provider to confirm their level of coverage. Low-income clients may qualify for Careica’s financial assistance program (call 1-877-250-5622 for details).

A PFT is recommended if you take inhaled medications, are a current or former smoker, have a chronic cough, or feel short of breath. A referral is required for PFT and ABG testing; speak to your family doctor or call 403-774-5741 for more information.

On-site parking at this building is paid and Indigo-managed (lot code C275). The Chinook CTrain and nearby bus stops are within walking distance if you’d rather avoid the paid lot.
