A day in the life of an Oxygen Technician
- You’ll provide oxygen services to our clients, at times visiting residences up to 3 hours away.
- You’ll be excited to start the morning with coffee in-hand, energized and self-motivated to plan your day and ensure your company vehicle is prepped with oxygen equipment.
- Then you’ll hit the road to visit some of the most appreciative people you’ve ever met, in their home or residence. Sometimes you’ll be pulled in another direction at the last minute, and you’ll positively embrace this.
- Our clients will be happy to see your smiling face, and youâll boost their confidence and provide them with oxygen supplies, education and service.
- In the warehouse, you’ll maintain a supply of oxygen cylinders, equipment and supplies to ensure we can provide timely equipment and service to our clients.
- You’ll perform some basic routine cleaning and maintenance of equipment, as well as identify and ship any equipment in need of repair.
- You’ll update electronic client files and complete various administrative duties.

What we're looking for
- Comfortable with driving as a core part of the day, including some flexibility when plans shift
- Self-motivated problem-solver â able to plan and manage your own route and schedule
- Friendly, patient, and comfortable in clients’ homes
- Handy with routine equipment maintenance and basic troubleshooting
Frequently asked questions
Driving is a core part of the day. You’ll travel to client homes and residences within the service area, alongside warehouse and administrative work.
Class 5 driverâs license, acceptable driverâs abstract, criminal record search including vulnerable sector search, transportation of dangerous goods certification (provided in-house).
Delivering and setting-up oxygen equipment entails routinely lifting up to 50 lbs. and occasionally maneuvering cylinders up to 120 lbs. (depending on the region). At times, there are long periods of driving. Shipping and receiving products in the warehouse.
Yes, a vehicle will be provided for your duties.
